In one sentence

The 30-day free trial gives you the whole platform with two soft limits — AI is paused and storage is capped at 100 MB — and a $10 AI sample bucket you can purchase if you want to evaluate AI features before paying for a tier.

Three things to remember
  • Every module works. Documents, NCRs, Audits, Risk, MOC, Training, Meetings, Compliance, Suppliers, Clients — everything is on. The trial isn't feature-gated.
  • The two limits are practical, not punitive. AI is paused so a runaway evaluation doesn't generate a confusing first invoice. Storage is capped at 100 MB so a bulk import doesn't burn through your real allowance before you've decided to keep the system.
  • The $10 sample bucket is the AI escape hatch. Buy it once during the trial, get enough tokens to drive every AI feature for a couple of evaluations. No commitment beyond the $10.

What works in trial

Every module is enabled. You can:

  • Create real documents, send them through approval workflows.
  • Raise NCRs, work the timeline and root-cause editor, close them with evidence.
  • Run audits — set up topics, build the question bank, conduct an audit, raise findings into NCRs.
  • Capture risks, MOCs, exemptions; pull JHA and FMEA data into them.
  • Schedule meetings, capture minutes, raise actions.
  • Import controlled documents (Word / PDF) within the storage cap.
  • Invite teammates as Full users and Read & Acknowledge users.

If you're evaluating, the right pattern is to set up one real workflow end-to-end — a single document approval, an audit, an NCR — rather than try to get every module ticking. The platform sells itself when you walk one record through the full lifecycle.

What's restricted

AI is paused

All AI features ship disabled during the trial:

  • Document agent (ask the library)
  • AI summaries on audits, NCRs, meetings
  • AI-drafted NCRs and meeting minutes
  • AI evidence summary

The reason isn't gating — it's predictability. AI usage during a free trial would either bill you (confusing first invoice) or be heavily rate-limited (gives a misleading sense of how the feature performs). Both are worse than off.

To evaluate AI before you commit, buy the $10 sample bucket — see below.

Storage capped at 100 MB

Document storage during trial is hard-capped at 100 MB. That's plenty for a few sample SOPs, a couple of audit photos, and the documents you need to demonstrate workflows.

If you hit the cap during evaluation, the message is clear: this is a trial limit, not your eventual quota. Convert and your tier's storage allowance kicks in immediately (10 GB / 50 GB / 200 GB).

The $10 AI sample bucket

A one-time purchase available during the trial. Buy once, get enough tokens to:

  • Have several conversations with the document agent against your sample documents.
  • Drive a handful of AI summaries on audits and NCRs.
  • Try AI-drafted minutes from a meeting transcript.

Enough to form an opinion. Not enough to run a pilot for a month — that's what the post-trial AI subscriptions are for.

How to buy:

  1. Go to /billing during your trial.
  2. Click Try AI features — $10 sample.
  3. Tokens are added immediately. Use them across whichever AI features you want to evaluate.

Unused tokens don't roll over after conversion — at conversion you pick a real AI subscription (BYOK or Managed; see AI: BYOK vs Managed) and the bucket is closed out. The $10 doesn't get applied to your subscription either; it's a separate evaluation purchase.

Converting from trial

At any point during the 30 days, click Add payment method in the billing page. The system:

  1. Asks which tier you're picking — Starter, Professional, or Business.
  2. Shows monthly vs annual pricing (annual saves 17%).
  3. Asks if you want AI on day one — BYOK, Managed, or skip for now.
  4. Charges the prorated first invoice immediately. No card-on-file from before, no surprise charges.

The trial limits drop the moment payment is in. AI flips on (per your subscription choice). Storage cap jumps from 100 MB to your tier's allowance.

What happens at day 30 without payment

A defined retention plan, in three phases:

PhaseDurationWhat it means
Read-only30 days from day 30Org freezes — no record creation, no edits, no AI. Sign-in still works; admins can come back, add payment, and reactivate without losing anything.
Deletion notice7 days before deletionEmail warning to all admins with a final reactivation link.
Deleted30 days after day 30All organization data is permanently removed — documents, NCRs, audit history, training records, user accounts. Recovery is not possible after this point.

So the practical recovery window is 30 days from when your trial ends. Add payment within that window and the org reactivates with everything intact. After 30 days the data is gone.

There is no auto-conversion, no surprise card charge, no "your trial ended and we billed you anyway" — by design. Conversion is always an explicit click.
